Is it just me or is Kiro's 8th anniversary karma very underwhelming compared to the other guys? I mean I can see the others as callbacks to certain dates/special moments with MC but what is Kiro's suppose to be? I swear, why do the devs keep giving Kiro such bad treatment?
Happy Sunday, nony!! Hope you're having a nice and relaxing weekend so far (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
BUT ALSO—YOU MEAN TO SAY KIRO'S ISN'T A CALLBACK TO THE NUMEROUS MOMENTS HE'S HAD WITH MC SO FAR???
And just his and MC's entire story up until this point: Solitude and loneliness to joyful and everlasting companionship together. I know I give PG a lot of heat for sometimes not living up to the mark when it comes to Kiro, but this is not one of those moments. Just because it isn't in-your-face with the callbacks to a certain past date, doesn't make it any less important than the others.
Also, I'm not sure if you read the date blurb or not, nony, but most of Kiro and MC's most important moments have been in association with music. How Kiro went from making music by himself (and for himself), to making music for her, and now making music WITH her. Like, it's the perfect culmination of their relationship after all these years of longing and development.
Also, their moment is happening against the backdrop of a concert hall, which is literally perfect for them, because:
The Karma's After Evolve also reminds me of this particular moment with the whole feather motif, and how this moment in the Main Story also takes place in an empty concert hall. They both separated (end of S1) and reunited in this very same place (when Kiro got his memories back in S2), hence why it's so important to them.
Another reason the stage is so important to Kiro and MC is because Kiro doesn't trust and open up so easily to people. Even with MC, it took him months and years to finally be comfortable enough to share the parts of himself that he isn't really proud of. To him, the stage is like his own little world where he gets to be the most brilliant version of himself, and the fact that he's letting MC shine with him on that same stage, letting her walk into his world little by little, says a lot to me.
The violin is a representation of Kiro's heart, as well as his love—deep, solemn and incredibly delicate. And he's letting her play the strings of it into whatever melody she wishes because he trusts that no matter what melody it is, it will definitely be sweet to listen to.
Hence, in conclusion, I would argue that Kiro's card is just as well designed as the other guys' cards are. Not to mention that the title of the date itself—"Remembering Love"—is such a crazy hint towards Season 3 where everyone has literally forgotten what "Love" is. And to me, S3 is going to be so important for Kiro's story arc because of how important the concept of "Love" is to a character like Kiro, who shaped his entire life, personality, motivations and worldview on the basis of "Love".
