Happy Anniversary once again! 🥳🎉

Hard to believe it’s been another 365 days since the last update but 2020 has been quite the year.

For four years (wow) this blog has been active on Tumblr and it is hard to imagine the amount of images posted in that time. It’s several gigs worth by now I am sure and I am glad you all have been along for the ride.

As an annual tradition, Welcome to my little passion project to show the world the beauty and artistry of anime!

Thank you all for the ongoing support and love shown for the image sets. My hope is that it inspires people to discover new and old shows as well as serve as a hub for finding inspiration and community.

As far as updates-

Next year is going to be a little different as far as scheduling where I can only promise one post a week roughly vs the roughly ten posts a month that has been happening for three years.

I hope to do a little more but I don’t want to over promise and under deliver. Therefore 2021’s schedule is one a week.

As a behind the scenes, I used to follow 7-10 shows a season which would produce (if I was lucky enough to pick image heavy shows) enough content to support a bigger posting schedule without having to hit my backlog pile or even adding to the backlog pile. That didn’t happen in 2020 (surprise) so the backlog took a critical hit and here we are with having to rely on current log which hasn’t been as fruitful as other years/seasons.

In regards to current log, early into 2020, my schedule went from 7-10 shows to barely having time for 3-5 shows. This caused a huge depletion of the backlog as I didn’t have enough material to support the blog’s 2020 scheduling with current season items alone.

In short, blog still active for 2021 as 2020 didn’t kill it. 2021 will have a more modest schedule to prevent posting outages.

Happy Anniversary everyone and I think that with certainty that a “good riddance 2020” is much needed.

Here’s to a much better new year in 2021- hope you all are happy and healthy!
