I've seen a common thread in a lot of Harry Potter fics and I would just like to clear up some confusion:
Parseltongue- language spoken by snakes (and possibly lizards), Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort was the last known natural speaker, and Harry Potter an artificial speaker via Horcrux
Parselmouth- someone that speaks parseltongue (i.e. Salazar Slytherin, Tom Riddle, Marvolo Gaunt, etc.)

As long as like 80% of the fandom is convinced Jaime is the only viable candidate for the Valonqar, I’m making it my business to convince y’all otherwise. when you aren’t sure about the ethnicity of an actor/actress, you do realize that you can GOOGLE THE ACTOR/ACTRESS AND DO A LITTLE BIT OF READING, right? this especially goes for when you aren’t sure of the part of asia they are from. you do realize that there is a difference, right?
