A few days ago a (female) friend of mine was talking about Sabrina Carpenter. She said “people keep calling her horny? Like, no! Stop being weird”. I didn’t say anything at the time but I have thoughts (even though i know it’s not asked for).
Are fully grown adult women not allowed to sing about sex and sexuality? Why is that weird? Why does that have a negative light? It’s 2025, nearly 2026. Why is it grown women’s job to appeal to your moral standards around sex?
Yes, by your definition, she is horny. She says it quite a lot in her songs. I thought we all knew this. Just leave her be, if you don’t like it, don’t listen to it. Again, she’s an adult. She can do whatever she wants and make songs about whatever she wants. It’s not harmful.
“Oh but the children” it’s parents’ jobs to make sure that the content that their children are watching is appropriate. Not hers. If they brought their child to a Sabrina Carpenter concert, that’s their own fault, not hers.
Why don’t we focus on actual world problems that actually need attention and leave the girl alone? Jesus Christ. Sorry, rant over. I’m done.
