I wouldn't of minded Grant staying a bad guy if he were still alive. But not a full on evil guy. He just shows up for a while to mess things up and screw with SHIELD before running off. Maybe then go off with Skye somewhere for a nice night or two.
Like he enjoys screwing with Coulson so much that he does it on a regular basis.
The greatest club ever:
we have a club at school with 5 active members. It's made up of really evil people.
1- the fun insensitive douche (unofficial fun leader; note: he's only offensive if you don't know him and take him too seriously also really really dense)
2- complicated sadistic asshole (vice commander specialty in academics and blades; note: he has psychopathic tendencies and is super serious sometimes, but he can take a joke)
3- hardcore girl (the casually sarcastic girl; silver tongued but is causal about it, also a bit too much for some people. a little complicated)
4- emotional sporty guy (the skilled specialty in shooting and artillery such as guns; does weird psychological stuff and is really sad note: not really evil at all but no one really cares at this point)
5- misanthropic angel (the fabulously awesome artist; not what she usually seems -usually misunderstood-... you never really know, but i would like to think she's pretty nice.)
everyone is pretty cool.

Loki isn't actually a bad guy. No, he's actually Shield's consultant. The events of the Avengers was staged (except for the Chitauri part) in order to get the Avengers Initiative to work.
Hence, Coulson's not really dead. And Clint was in on it too.
Really well done, with using dialogue to illustrate the scenes.
