Rick Riordan was SO galaxy brained for making Aphrodite be beautiful according to each person's personal ideal of beauty. Had it been Sarah J. Maas or any new age YA author they would have been like "she's a lilywhite blonde with blue/green eyes who is unanimously the most beautiful of her age teehee" and called it a day, whereas true beauty is subjective, according to each person or society's different tastes and the differing standards cannot be reduced to a one size fits all.

So, I watched AVPM for the first time yesterday. It was great, I love it and I have been listening to Granger Danger without break.

This is probably old news because the musical is old and StarKid has a looooot of fans, but I need to talk about this or I'll explode (yes musical nerd here without any musical-fan friends ahhhhh), so here's something I noticed (or maybe I'm just tone deaf):

When Ron and Draco sing "falling in love" together, they sing it differently. Draco starts high (on the fal-) and goes down (on the -ling) and stays there, while Ron starts low and goes high.

And I've been singing this part in the shower to get it right (yes I am that kind of person, judge me /j) and it makes Draco sound really sad and desperate, while Ron sounds happy and hopeful (istg he sounds like someone who's just about to go on an adventure).

Ron, who we know gets the girl, is happy and excited about realizing he loves Hermionie. Meanwhile Draco is sad about it, because he (and we) knows she won't like him back and in general it wouldn't ever work cuz of his family. Still, he loves her and wants to be with her, but he knows it'll never happen.

And I think the fact that this is captured in the slight tone shift/difference they have in the final part is just so cool and amazing and incredible and it's like a birthday cake for my ears

Being in college fucks me up man,

I was always called out in high school for being too loud and opinionated and I curse too much when it comes to explaining things. Like, they basically put down “obnoxious” on top of my head.

But today, in college, I said “fucking spectacular” to describe something and then I said “shit, oops, didn’t mean to say fuck.” And then apologized again cus I cussed again and my professor busted out laughing and said “wow, christ, I thought I was the only one who does that. Continue, sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt you.”

Like I’ve never felt so validated in my life??? Thanks for not booting me from the class???? Im so thankful????

Yay.

It's always a good feeling to walk through your front door and have a sudden swift of bad aura all around you. Then finding that all those thoughts of it going to be okay to yourself were worthless because... well... face it, home will never be where you sleep. Home is where your friends are and where I sleep is in a house filled with unspoken words and hatred.

You know? It's really heartbreaking to see the community I grew admired off falling apart just as I joined... I just wish we can fix this in the long run but.... Circumstances.... Has forced to divide like this.... This not how I'm expected to be welcomed here, having the community I know and grow fond of teared apart by their own..... Admirers? Anons? I cannot tell....

This blog would still stand. After all, it's "DN's Everything Agency", where every fandoms and interests are accepted as long as there are not hates and negativities. Maybe I'll stay away from the dr kin community, maybe I'll stay beside them.... Who knows? For now, I'll stay by their side, because they're the reason this blog has started in the first place.
