SO. I've moved (everyone say thabk you to my one irl mutual I wont dox that helped me NEOW.) BUT. now I have so many thoughts about pony movin out to college. so. dumpin them here.

- Pony's the type of kid that waits til the absolute last minute to pack. everythin. Darry bugs him about gettin stuff together for MONTHS. he's simply the world's greatest procrastinator.

- Darry drives him around to all the liquor stores to get boxes cause EVERYONE knows liquor boxes are the strongest. but he also takes a lot of time coverin labels cause he doesn't want anyone to think less of his kid brother for usin second hand boxes.

- Darry moves that boy in LIGHTNIN speed n hes so focused on packin n movin n loadin n unloadin it doesn't actually hit him his baby brother is leavin home til hes unpacked all his stuff n then is suddenly like. oh. ☹️

- all three of them put on a brave face but by the end of move in day theyre all bawlin. Soda asks if hes sure he'll be alright about a hundred thousand times. Darry always goes 'of course he will be' but hes all a teary mess

- pony calls home religiously. he pretends like hes fine all moved out alone but he calls home EVERY night

- Soda loves to send him mail just letters with soda pop tabs n pressed grass bracelets n pony sends back tests he aced n postcards from his college (darry puts his homework on the fridge just like when he was in high-school hes so proud)
