oooh the burnouts getting me fellas
You get no context
new pfp ya'll
How do you color your sketches? Also any tips for those that are new to krita? (As somone that’s a total noob like myself?)
Completely fine if you don’t want to answer, thanks! :)
HI! I don't typically color all so much so my process is simple and probably not the most optimized, so don't rely on my words much lol, but I just dap a layer below my lineart/sketch and use the lasso-fill tool to fill that silhouette.
here's some quick screenshots of my most recent quality work
First image is my sketch, or my base lineart. second is the coloring I placed underneath it. (Lineart's color changes depending on how I render it, which just means doing after edits to make it all come together)
I like to refine on top of my base lineart with thicker lines and whatnot. Add my line weight and what else I felt necessary to the thingy lol
(art is a career of the mind, brrr brrr, bullshit bullshit.)
Then I like to make them all have a mutual color, so most times I slap on a top layer and copy the silhouette and make it a transparent, solid color, which I add gradient onto.
Then i proceed with any extra bs I felt was good to do and tadaaaaa
As for any tips:
Use the timeline outside of animating. Saves a lot of hassle for when you don't want to open a whole new canvas.
I just use each frame as a new blank slate and go to town. Makes making comics and storyboards all the easier, as well as my regular degular drawings.

took a tad break, have a dragon
been messing with blender and roblox
made ears based off my au designs, so now I'm making souljam paws or trying to next, once I figure it out, I'll make the shark tail since I liked how my minecraft Shmilk looked with it
rediscovered some OLD OLD OLD au droplings so Im gonna finish up those, even if they're, perhaps, a tad outdated with my current plans
yeehaw
a lot of my upcoming posts will be me just drawing my headcannons on au's I have like 30k+ words on, tbh
A little stand in for those little worlds until I can muster up a little less perfectionistical motivation to actually write them instead of being scorched by a thousand flames of "this could be so much better" kindled by over whether I should use a word with twenty million synonyms, or a word with just one
