Hi hello oh man I am so sorry it has taken so long to get you your questions, and on your first Question Friday what a terrible reputation I shall garner for myself oh dear! Please accept my humblest apologies, and with them these questions:

1) As someone who often boggles at your ability to think complex thoughts and then articulate them to other people, I wonder, where did you acquire your critical thinking skills? Is it a natural ability? Or one that was developed through study or work? Can I acquire it also?!

2) I have heard from a reliable source 👀 that you have excellent taste in beer...so what are your favourites?

3) What is a common opinion that you disagree with?

Thank you so much for taking part in Question Friday! I frequently find myself wishing I could crawl inside your brain and have a peak around, and in the absence of the ability (or the consent) to do that, this is the next best thing 😊

My answers:

1. Ahhhhh hahaha... Well, thank you for that compliment! Pretty much just an obsessive nerd. Mostly, though, I'm the daughter of a sociologist so I think I just got his weird brain and applied it to fiction instead of stats and trends. And, I dunno... I'm a Libra? (Though. So is he.)

2. HA! There's literally only one person you could have heard that from! I mostly stay close to home -- Ontario craft brews like Collective Arts, Outfield and Sidelaunch. Last few years I've also tended to drink sours, and then my brother is very into IPAs and will also just buy a bunch of random stuff that we will end up splitting. My family does have a running joke regarding Duchesse de Bourgogne, which I do like, but mostly order in bars so that I can send my cousin pictures, since she once soaked herself in it during a cottage weekend.

3. Well. Right at this moment, I cannot escape opinions on John Mulaney, and I hate them all! But in particular, I find myself alone in feeling that people are wildly overstating his stated opinion on parenthood because as I remember his comedy, it was pretty ambivalent but not an emphatic "absolutely not!" (But also, sometimes people change their minds. That's an opinion I HAVE heard. It's one of the many opinions I hate, because I don't want to hear about it anymore and I'm pretty amazed at how impossible it is for every one of my algorithms to protect me from the John Mulaney discourse. And now I've contributed to it. Gah.)
