Idk man, i personally think that the idea of Thranduil being Miriel’s brother would be hilarious bc everyone sees these noldor kinslaying monsters and screams bloodymurder, but Thranduil looks at what is his nephew and grandnephew and goes “goddamn it Miriel, they had to get your personality”

When Oropher gets re-embodied in Valinor alongside Finwe he will spend entire meetings glaring bloody murder at Finwe for Miriel’s predicament, much to everyone’s confusion.

Finwe: making my way down town, walking fast-

Messenger: Your Majesty, King Oropher’s here to see you!

Finwe: walking faster

Oropher: Finwe!!

Finwe: -fucking sprinting!!

The Noldor of Valinor get to spectate as their high king is running full speed away from this feral silvan king while screaming bloody murder.

What, you thought Feanor got his attitude from Finwe? No way, that was all Miriel.

(PS, this is all in an AU where Oropher is a silvan, and thus was not in Doriath or in Beriland at all when the first age shit went down, (though he feels the need to point out that, just bc they weren’t involved with the noldor drama, that doesn’t mean they didn’t fight against Morgoth, they were just not geographically close enough to be apart of the armies in Beriland)

Oropher, Thranduil, Legolas and other family and friends would all know, but they’re all collectively ignoring the Feanorian mess bc that bunch has been labeled “the insane half of the family” (completely ignoring their own feralness, as you do)

But, can you imagine:

Summy sighed in contentment as she sat on the outside of the park, above the massive water feature. She had a book in her hands as she looked throughout the park, eyeing the inhabitants. She smiled as she got back to her book, but she wasn’t able to get very far as she heard the sound of a worgen charging on all fours. She looked back as she saw said worgen charging in her direction and staring at her. 

The worgen kept going, eyes focused on her as he charged. Once he neared her, he picked her up and slammed her into the nearby stone wall, being careful to not break her as he did so. Summy squeeked as she was slammed, but made no move to escape yet. She looked at the worgen, not recognizing him. “So can I help you?” 

“Summy where’s Pin. You were the one she was seen last with. Where is she?” The worgen Summy now recognizes as Leon growls out.

“I have no idea where she is. I haven’t seen her since yesterday. I’m sure she’s fine.” Summy insists, still appearing calm. She keeps her hands on Leon’s arms, not to protect herself, because it wouldn’t do anything anyway, but more as a means to show she’s not doing anything.

“Bullshit! I saw you with her late last night! Where is she? If you’re hiding her away somewhere I will rip you limb from limb.” He exclaims, tightening his grip slightly to enhance the threat. 

The little gnome emits a squeek of pain as his grip tightens. “I don’t know where she is! I wasn’t with her I promise! Ask Bennas, I was at his place last night writing reports until late. He can vouch.” Summy quickly explains. 

Leon takes a moment to think through her words, trying to determine if she’s lying. When he’s satisfied she’s not lying to save herself, along with remembering she’s a mage and could’ve escaped by now, he tosses her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. “Fine. Let’s go find Bennas. If he doesn’t confirm your story then we’re going to have a nice, long talk about where she is.”

Zandrae glanced up from his work, his jaw locked, with athistle cigarette between his teeth. He wore his Blood Knight armor andChampion’s colors, and looked over to Ria, then back to his work.

His work? A man chained to a wall, beaten, bloodied, andstarved to emaciation, his swollen limbs bent in unnatural directions in placesthey shouldn’t bend. He had an IV in one arm and fluid dripping into the linekept the bound man hydrated and alive—barely. Traces of freshly healed wounds,lighter than the rest of his skin skittered across the man’s body, his woundswere healed to assure he didn’t die from them. A pained look reflected in theman’s eyes, tired eyes, the eyes of a broken man that longed for death.

Zandrae frowned at a thought then brought his foot up andslammed it into the man’s ribs, a sickening cracking emanated from his body asthe man’s ribs snapped from the impact. Zan eyed his handiwork.

“I am a monster, aren’t I?” Zan muttered, “Ihave become as bad as the monsters I hate. I can’t help myself, I cannotforgive them for what they did—Kidnapping, torturing, starving, andexperimenting on children. They do not deserve a quick and humane death. Theydeserve a long, drawn out, and painful death as agonizing as the pain theyinflicted on the children.”

Zan smiled a sadistic smile and kicked the other side of theman’s rib cage with another disgusting crack. He grabbed the man by his chin,uttered a power word, and unsilenced the man who groaned in pain.

Zan growled at the man, “Are you sorry for what youdid? Sorry for all the pain that you caused? If you are truly remorseful forwhat you did I will let you die, because I’m better than you, I have a sense ofmercy with my need for justice.”

The groaning man gave a rapid affirmative nodding in response.

Zan slammed his metal boot into the man’s gut,“Speak!”

The words “I’m sorry,” uttered from the captiveman’s bloodied mouth.

“Louder! What are you sorry for?” Zan kicked theman again.

Another groan and then, “I’m sorry for torturingchildren. Please kill me.” The bound man broke into pathetic sobs, blooddripping from his lip, “Please kill me. Please kill me.”

Zan reached up and slid the stopper of the IV line intoplace, ending the man’s hydration and nutrition, and then uttered another powerword, which silenced the man.

The ginger turned and looked to Ria, then ushered her fromthe room, turned out the light, and slammed the solid metal cell door closed.

The captive man would never see light again. He would expirefrom hunger and dehydration, chained to the wall, suffering agonizing pain fromhis injuries, alone.

Zan shook his head and removed his armor, until it was on arack and he wore his normal civilian clothing. He turned to Ria trying toexplain, to justify his own unjustifiable cruelty, “I become a person I hate when inthat armor. I become a monster. However, the monster is not within the armor,but within me. Sometimes good people do terrible things for all the rightreasons. I understand if you think I’m a monster now and don’t want to befriends anymore. That’s okay, I wouldn’t blame you.”

He turned away and walked towards the stairs in silence. Onceascending, Zandrae spoke words, more to himself than to Ria, but clearlyaudible from her position, “Monsters are people, too.”
