#Repost @mentalhealthamerica (@get_repost) ・・・ One question we often receive is: "Can I live a good life after being diagnosed with a #mentalillness?" and the answer is, unequivocally, YES.⠀ ⠀ People with #mentalhealth conditions can live a good life, be happy and be successful. Society makes it hard for us to remember that sometimes. In fact, you might be surprised to find out that some of the greatest and most creative minds have or had #mentalhealth conditions. Some have even been linked to creativity. For some people, they consider their greatest work to have been done when they were going through their darkest times. ⠀ ⠀ When you are living with a #mentalhealth condition, it can feel like all you are or ever will be is the disorder. When you learn about people who are outspoken about their illness, you can begin to see your own experience echoed in someone you can identify with. You start to think “If they can do it, I can too.” You realize you’re not alone and part of a community.⠀ ⠀ Is there someone you look up to who is living openly with a #mentalhealth condition? How did that help you on your #recovery journey?⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ #mentalhealth #mentalillness #mentalwellness #mentalhealthawareness #b4stage4 #fightintheopen #notacharacterflaw #mentalillnessfeelslike #copelikeaboss
