Perhaps, in a few years I’ll meet your fiancé (and fuck, it still hurts to say that, but at least I’m able to now) and she’ll be pregnant with your child because you realized it wasn’t too selfish to have one on your own.

And then perhaps, in another version of the future, one day you’ll come back and tell me you think you made a mistake by letting me go. That you want to give it another try and you gave it a lot of thought and you’re ready to leave your fears behind and you’ll try not to overthink everything all the time.

No matter how, I need to believe you’ll find someone worthy to stand by your side. Not that you would settle for anything less.
