Does it ever drive you crazy...
Just how fast the night, changes
Sometimes you just wake up, the sunlight clashing on your tired eyes and forcing you to shut them open, only for you to get up to close the goddamn curtains in a sad attempt to block the light
You can't go back to the bed bc you're already awake so it's pointless to even try
Then you straight up go to the mirror in your bathroom and brush your teeth while only one single thought crosses up your mind:
"why i got off the warth of my precious bed to see my stupid fat ass self anyway?"
i edited my rules a bit!
On the topic of spoilers and twists going around
I remember how in steven universe people guessed that Rose Quartz was Pink Diamond REAAAALLY early on in the shows run-time, like after the concept of the Diamond Authority was revealed. The folks working on the show said no, but not much else. The show went on, and as time went by most people dropped the theory in favor of other ones as more and more details about the gem civil war was revealed. And while the theory was still around it wasn’t the most prominent mode of thought.
Then the twist happened.
Rose was Pink Diamond
And people were still surprised. Not because we couldn’t see it being possible or it was subversive, but because while we could see it as a possibility the writers did a good job of leading us to believe that they weren’t going to take that route in the story.
Also Rose being Pink Diamond also opened up many, MANY question in story. What did this mean for the Crystal Gems? What did this mean for the Diamonds? What does this mean for Steven? And as these questions are answered it changes the entire dynamic of the show. What does it mean for the crystal gems? That while their leader might have lied to them, what they fought for was no less important and their bonds no less real. For the Diamonds? That their sister wasn’t murdered and while she is GONE it was in an act of love. For Steven? That he feels that he is responsible for the civil war, but also he feels he has the ability to be the one to mend the divisions it brought and try to change Homeworld.
The problem I see with most twists is that they either change very little in the grand scheme of the story or the come so far out of left field that it’s less shocking and surprising and more confusing than anything else. (or as worst, both)
The one where Aubrey got a haircut and curles her hair for the first time in forever
I don't ever want to stray too far from the pain, I want to keep it close. I'm afraid if I don't, I'll completly forget what it was like to be hurt. I'm afraid I will find someone hurting in the same way I did, and I won't see myself in them anymore. I'm afraid I won't apreciate the fact that I'm not hurt anymore the way I used to. I don't want to be hurt again but sometimes I feel like it'd be better if I was.
