March 31, 2019, I gambled on myself. I took on a journey that I didn’t know (and still don’t) where it would lead me but I told myself then that if I didn’t do anything then there’s nothing left for me to do but to accept it. The journey was harsh and hard - all the temptations to give in and quit are all over - but then again as I pass by one checkpoint after another, the one I used to struggle with became routines and the temptations turned into faded echoes of what I know I wouldn’t return to anymore. 2 years later and I’m still at it - and I’ll confess, it gets harder everyday (like climbing a mountain really) - you get older, your body requires more, and your mind gets to you. But, in all honesty, looking back is what gives me strength to take another step forward. Here’s to my 2nd year of fitness and on to the 3rd. This is 2019 vs. 2020 vs. 2021 - I hope my body changed as my mind did. Starting weight was 131 kgs, now I’m at 95 kgs. Ultimate goal is 160. I may have gone far but I know I still have way to go.
