Taste: a Dramione short fic
Where Draco finds himself in a bind because of what Hermione told Astoria.
Astoria slapped Draco’s face. Even with her small hands and weak constitution, it still hurt. He didn’t know what he did wrong. From his end, everything was going smoothly. Unless…
Draco seethed. Oh, she was going to kill her.
(at a local pub in Diagon Alley)
"It was you, wasn't it?! What did you say to Astoria, Granger?!"
Hermione downed down her whiskey and slowly stood from her high chair at the bar table. She licked her lips before facing a very angry Draco looming over her.
Her eyes flicked to his throat and watched as he made a nervous swallow. When she looked up, she saw his eyes roam across her body before settling onto her lips.
They were so close. She could feel his breath on her cheeks and she was suddenly thankful for her five-inch pumps.
She closed her eyes and inhaled his scent - firewhiskey, cigarettes, and expensive cologne. When she opened them, she noticed he was doing the same only when he opened his, his gaze locked back to her lips. She briefly wondered how she smelled to him.
“What did you say to her, Hermione?”, Draco repeated in a voice so low, it was barely a whisper. She felt herself shiver at the sound of her name on his lips.
In the background, the sound of the music boomed, the lyrics becoming clearer.
The corner of Hermione’s mouth lifted.
Draco’s jaw clenched, recognizing the song and realizing what she was about to do. He took a sharp inhale when she suddenly leaned closer, her hot breathe brushing against his earlobe.
“I told her…”, she started, waiting for the exact moment to mouth the words.
/I heard you're back together and if that's true, you'll just have to taste me when he's kissing you./
/If you want forever and I bet you do, just know you’ll taste me too./
Just then, Hermione’s hands slithered to his shoulders, trailing her fingers to the back of his neck, and pulling him in for a deep, long kiss. She smiled when she heard him moan.
Draco blinked and before he could react, she was gone.
