       “The area around Nibelheim’s your home turf, so ya better do your part to not lead us off a cliff or into a dragon’s jaws or whatever, yeah?  We find what’s causin’ the monsters to go bonkers, and I make sure no ‘precious company secrets’ get inconveniently revealed.  Sooner we get it done, the sooner we can stop pretendin’ to tolerate each other, yan~no.”

“Then they are not worth your time. If they can’t look you in the eye. They fear what they do not understand. You can’t even have a chance to teach them, if they won’t even speak to you. They are undeserving of you and your attention.” His eye narrowed at those words. The self loathing in that statement, worried Vincent.  

“When I have a conversation with you, I look you directly in the eyes. I know those eyes and I love them. They make you who, you are and if someone’s got an issue with you about them, send them to me. You don’t give yourself enough credit Cloud. You’re stronger then you think you are.”

His tone was dubious as he watched the other man, immediately moving in a half-attempt to catch him when the other started to stagger, breathing a little easier when the man caught himself. "When was the last time you ate, or even slept?" Brows knitted together in worry as Cloud gave Zack a once-over.

He didn’t have time for this, he had to much work to do. The moment he started staggering, it actually scared him. However he was quick, to catch his footing. He’d seen Cloud’s reaction and it startled him. Shaking his head again, he let out a shaky breath. Zack frowned and paused at hearing the question.  “Now that you mention it, I’m kinda hungry..” He was tired too, really tired.

     [╰☆╮]         “Hey, uh- you know any smoothie bars around here?” THE QUESTION MIGHT have seen a little bizarre to most folk, but when one couldn’t drink alcohol or carbonated drinks it became quite difficult to find anything more... organic. Being in a foreign place on a research placement certainly posed issues, but he was determined to get through it all in one peace, and happy.

IT HAD BEEN Yuffie’s idea to attempt blind dating people, if only for the social gathering; and though Vincent had tried his utmost to rebel and insist that he was more than comfortable in being single and within his own world of solitude, she had insisted intensely - if only to humor her. THUS THE ELDER had agreed to meet someone at the cafe nearest to the entrance of Gold Saucer. It was apparently a perfect spot to meet someone, maybe have some fun around, and then go from there- or something. Indeed, It was far from being in Vincent’s range of enjoyment... but he complied, if only for the experience. And thus he waited, exactly where he had been told to, watching as folk walked through the door to order coffee and things of the sort, wondering if the next person would be his date.
