every other time they've shown us a date in the show, they'd always provide us with the year.

except for the date they mentioned in escape from camazotz! now we're all aware that three important things take place on november 6th. that leads me to believe that they intentionally didn't show us the year despite showing us events taking place in the current, present time. everything that will take place on nov 6, 1987 will also cover events from the past that occured on the same date such as the dark of the moon, the play henry starred in that joyce directed, as well as wills disappearance.

in this still from the final trailer, we see el, max, and kali who are behind stage curtains. this leads me to believe that they will 100% be witnessing the events that took place in this play regarding henrys corruption and how love couldn't save him.
