Dark Web cover illustration

Newest cover for Christopher Brewer's ongoing novel series following protagonist Alice in her dark detective adventures. This is the fifth cover I have done for the series, and all of them are on "my favourite illustrations" list, something a project rarely holds for long, and the first that doesn't have Alice in red. This time the title indicates Alice going up against a hacker collective and we considered a lot of computer imagery, even using AI, when the term "firesale" rose to the top and with it, images of fire. Eventually the final idea became Alice defying death itself by standing up (or lying down but still holding her own - umm, I think I lost the visual here) against Charon as the Grim Reaper.

Unpublished cover I did a few years ago for Random House for the Illuminae series, that was a very precious partnership and I loved working on such a graphical background!
