Well, I do want to talk about one thing.

About why I'm not yet crashing down as bad as others (understandably, please, take your time to process this if you need it) about Satoshi's, and pretty much Rocket Gang's, journeys ending during the upcoming Spring.

It's simply because I always knew that this day would eventually come.

Because they always do. Nothing lasts forever.

I just didn't think they'd actually do it now. Even when I read the signs and spoke of it and explained why it could. JN series screamed of wanting to replace Satoshi. Gou screamed of being an attempt of doing another protag who does the plotlines Satoshi's character usually does. Rocket Gang barely appeared at all. Most just didn't want to see the signs. Understandably.

I already know from past experience with past fav series endings that I'll definitely have a mental crashing either in Jan 13th or once we're closer to the end, which is end of March.

The silent treatment in marketing and not revealing anything past this week's ep were the biggest signs of something being up. I hoped for a hiatus. Instead, we got the big news of finale, and announcement of new protags.

Personally? I'm SUPER sad for Satoshi and Rocket Gang's roles in anime ending, esp. when all their VAs clearly love voicing them. But as someone who loves watching Precure and Digimon seasons, which always switch protags, I'm excited to see how this new start goes! I'm very open for it! I actually adore both Liko and Roy's designs, as they seem very, very animation friendly, and they also feel so fitting to Pokémon universe. And I personally consider the Pokémon League Logo pin Liko has the same kind of protag sign Digimon does with head goggles. It just, kinda feels like it, don't ya think? The blue signature colors also match.

But anyway. My condolences to everyone, our childhood is ending (even if my only childhood experience with Satoshi was finnish dub and only occassionally the Kanto series, slightly remembering AG), and it's understandable to have emotions going around right now. Take your time.

Thanks for the soon-to-be 26 years, Satoshi, aka Ash Ketchum, and his Pikachu. And Rocket Buffoons.

Will miss you so, so much.
