Just a thought.

Not only could it be a sick publicity stunt, it would show us how la de dah dah day actually happened, without the music. And the confused onlookers really taking the cake.

Everytime I think about Richie I get so sad because he really was just a sweet boy who was heavily bullied (in my head canon he was Max’s biggest victim) and he was excited to STOP his tormentor and then this same person kills him and he is alone and afraid and taken away every bit of hope and self confidence from him just like every time he encountered Max when he was alive. And to make it all absolutely worse he’s then just forgotten confirming Max’s question of “Who will pray for you? When your body’s gone.”
