Mondays were always difficult for Annabel. It had been over a year since she landed the job as curator at the art museum but Annabel just couldn’t quit her life on the weekends just for the sake of being well rested come Monday morning. Doing as she did every Monday, she forced herself out of bed after only a few hours of sleep, made herself look presentable and headed out the door to the coffee shop. It was something she hated doing, human interaction wasn’t Annabel;s strong point and that was even more so the case in the morning, but she didn’t know how to make an espresso so she saw no other choice. Walking through the front door, she raised her hand in the air to alert the staff she was here and would be waiting at her usual table in the corner. After alerting the cashier, Annabel turned to walk to her usual table but someone just had to be in her way. As usual. “Are you fucking serious?” She screeched and frantically checked over her dress to make sure nothing was spilled on it. She was already running short on time and didn’t have time to be dealing with someone else’s stupidity. “Maybe next time you’re in a crowded coffee shop, you’ll look around before trying to barge through the crowd.”
