Season 5:

Helping Wu in his tea shop, using her knowledge from growing up in Mystake's shop to help him get his up and running.

Helps create protections for the tea shop using magic while the og 4 are away and looking for the scroll of airjitzu

Crushing on Nya and spends time with her while she's training to be the water ninja

Season 6:

Ends up getting wished out of the majority of the conflict early on by Jay while in Cliff Gordons mansion; he uses his second wish on accident in a moment of frustration. The wish causes an emergency that Penny has to go home to help Mystake deal with.

She and Jay reconcile after Nya sends him back to the mainland. then she becomes part of the ninja replacement team, then she and Jay work together to rescue Nya

Season 7:

Penny and Nya are officially dating

She supports Nya and Kai best she can while their unravelling the mystery surrounding their parents deaths but she's mostly kept busy helping the others with the vermillion attacks and locating the kidnapped citizens

New theory that in season 7, Zane knew Pix was leaving the whole time, and just kept it a secret cuz she said she needed time away from the team which he 100% understood.

She had plenty of time to think it through while he was passed out, and then talk it through in his head while his speech was on the fritz. He could respond back to her in garbled nonsense which only she understood. With Pixal's habitual talking out loud in Zane's head that we see in this scene, I find it unlikely she wasn't verbally creating her plan to leave and save her father.

Zane staged the initial loss of contact after a mission, at a time he knew people would hear and observe him being confused.

He still has a bit of a mental breakdown without her, cuz he's not used to her being gone, so that character beat still works.

And when she shows up, he goes out of his way to help her. This can definitely be them subtly flirting with each other:

He asks if perchance anyone else was affected by the time shenanigans cuz he knows pixal is around.

Their eventual reunion doesn't have a lot of fanfare, just a low key normal hug with a half baked excuse for her absence, cuz they aren't actually surprised to see each other.

As much as i like to entertain the idea that Pixal kept her Samurai X identity a secret for so long because she felt ashamed of departing from her established 'assistant' role in Zane's headset but also liked having a body too much to give it up, i do think the infinitely funnier option is that she just did it to fuck around with them. I mean cmon. Go rewatch season 7 and try to tell me Pixal wasnt having at least a little bit of fun dunking on everyone

hey guys! so i hear everyone hates s7 (hands of time), and as someone who really enjoys the season, i'm realizing i don't have much to think about for my rewrite :0 i'd love to hear about some general critiques of s7, what can be done better, or what just plain doesn't work, from all of you guys! cuz i just think its a funny season :] the funny sillies

(do also lmk if you'd be ok with me using those ideas as inspiration for my rewrite if i end up really liking the direction that goes in)
