Ultra Safe Nuclear Technologies - a subsidiary of Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation - has developed a design concept as part of NASA-funded research into nuclear thermal propulsion systems for potential use in deep space travel. The concept uses a specialised variation of USNC's proprietary fully ceramic microencapsulated, tristructural isotropic fuel, developed for use in power reactors.
This may sound really strange, but when I read this article I was genuinely moved. It seems that we are standing on the edge of a series of great advancements in nuclear energy, not just with the Generation IV reactors that will make commercial nuclear fission energy even safer than it was before, but it will also be applied to a litany of other areas that promise to change our lives.
I don’t know how this will turn out, whether all these experimental designs will actually be implemented. I don’t know whether the nuclear energy will keep its promise of a better world. I just know that it’s worth a try to make it happen as much as we can.
Nuclear energy may be the tool we’re looking for to solve many of our problems. Why not try to use it?
Chernobyl HBO Episode 5. Scene: Night Shift Arrived. The dressing scene. The others are having fun with Leonid. Because of his little mustache. Good scene but also sad. My favorite scene.
Chernobyl HBO Night Shift... ☢️☣️🏭💥🔥 Minutes before the explosion...
Alright I cant decide and I wanna see what yall think.
career/college choices
nuclear engineer
computer science
art
Currently leaning towards nuclear engineer but idk
(Just to clarify I'm seeing how other ppl feel, I am not taking what yall say as what I'm 100% going to do.)
