Get to know me #40 - what’s your favorite memory?

Wow… This list of asks is tougher than I thought 😂

The first thing that comes to mind is the day I picked up my cat and she was so tiny and I realized her eyes were different colours but it’s her birthday today so that’s probably why ☺️. She saved my life so ya know.

I know I talk about it all the time but probably one of my trips to Boston. Maybe not the first one since it was with a friend and very touristy but the second one, I went alone and really started to feel ‘me’. The creativity, the spark, the joy I feel there is something I find nowhere else. Sitting in my fave coffee shops and writing, taking pictures. Nothing wild ever happens but the memories get me through the year until the next visit. And thankfully this year, it will be 2 trips!

I don’t remember a lot from when I was little (I now know that’s ADHD) but I have a few good ones. I think my trouble is I don’t know how to rank the memories. If I remember it at all, that’s a good sign but then everything is so different. How could I compare seeing my fave band play my fave song to the time I saw Sebastian Stan to my first walk through Author’s Ridge at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord? like it’s all just wild in my head. Everything is in its own little (dammit I almost typed 🪣but I don’t want any of those associations here hahaha) compartment.

Memories are a weird thing for me. Thanks for coming on this ramble. Sorry!!!

This is a pretty big one and tbh idk how to break it down enough to answer. I have lots of dreams and at any given point in time I can’t tell you all of them.

One dream is to get a wallet or belt or something made by you Dark!

10 : Not really. My dad knows I know tumblr but he’s convinced it’s absolutely dead and my moots are bots but he thinks he’s being nice and not telling me your bots but bruh your not bots it’s a whole troupe.

14 : I try to send my texts as one, but my family have attention spans of actual mushrooms so I end up doin the latter.

32 : Yes. But it’s rather morbid. The smell of tobacco and cigarettes remind me of my great grandfather who I’ve known my whole life. He passed in this past may.

Percy had been dragging Grover along behind him for nearly ten minutes at this point, ignoring all his questions and protests as he went.

And Grover had asked a lot of questions.

He tried again, once more, as the trees began to thin, signaling that they were nearing the Camp once more.

“Perce, what’s going on?”

Finally he got an answer.

"It’s important,” Percy declared.

The answer was not very helpful.

Grover had been speaking with some nature spirits in the forest at Camp (arranging patrols to keep the area clean and safe), only for Percy to practically materialize next to him and start dragging him away.

He’d only insisted it was important, and refused to give any other explanation to Grover.

Grover would be worried, but Percy was also vibrating in excitement, a grin curling over his lips.

Maybe a surprise party? Grover wasn’t sure why they’d throw him one but...

Or had Percy learned a cool new trick? Had he gained a new sibling? Had Annabeth gotten one of the jobs she’d applied for? Had a God given them something?

Grover was relieved when camp came into view at long last, and then confused when Percy dragged him to the Infirmary.

Why would Percy be excited about the infirmary? Was someone hurt? Did Will finally get his ass kicked by Reyna? Did-

Percy shoved the door open to reveal Annabeth sitting on the bed, Mary from the Apollo Cabin looking at a chart.

“Percy! You got him!”

“What is it?” Grover asked, fear rising. Had he misjudged Percy’s emotion? But Annabeth seemed happy too- but she was in the infirmary- what happened- were they hit by a monster effect?

“Did you tell him?” Annabeth asked.

“No I thought you’d want to.”

She beamed at him as he hurried to her side, pulling him down for a quick kiss.

“What’s going on?” Grover asked quickly, hurrying to her side.

She didn’t seem injured but-

She took a deep breath and smiled at Grover.

“Grover... I’m Pregnant.”

Grover fainted.

When Grover had awoken he was promptly asked to be the Godfather (a common mortal custom that neither of them were sure of the origin of, but they very much liked the idea of Grover having a special title for their kid) and of course he agreed.

Annabeth was pregnant!

Grover was so excited- it- he’d seen her grow up from the plucky 7 year old to the courageous and wonderful 25 year old.

And now they were welcoming a new family member to the world.

He needed to start planning how to care for the kid, it would definitely be as much of a trouble magnet as both of their parents, though at least they would have two powerful protective parents watching their back.
