I really like the current state of 'tommy does sidequests and accidentally gets dragged into lore, but fights tooth and nail to have nothing to do with it' because season 2 emotionally Hurt me a lot and it's nice to watch streams and just. relax! only a little bit of lore today lads, samnook has quests for tommy to do so he can build a nice hotel!

also this way tommy hasn't completely involved himself in the egg arc, but it's much more mainstream now and hopefully the smaller creators who are the focus of this arc get more attention!

nope I am not thinking about how last stream every time tommy was scared like when he was talking to tubbo and then when dream confronted him he moved instinctively behind techno and techno shifted in front of tommy to protect him no not at all

alright is no one going to mention that tommy confirmed his character canonically has ptsd? like I know we all basically assumed it but damn. ranboo and tommy rlly said 'my character has canon mental health issues and I will do my best to represent them respectfully' didn't they

SBI fans respectfully,,,, stop carrying on about tommy/techno being phil's sons. they are not, especially in techno's case where both cc's have stated they are old friends.

I understand cc!tommy hasn't addressed his and phil's canon relationship, and that his character clearly has an emotional attachment to phil, but remember that tommy can still see phil as a father figure and not be biologically related, especially as phil has said that most of the server see him as some sort of father figure already. they don't have to be blood related to have that sort of dynamic.

c!tommy looking up to phil, wanting his protection and approval, and c!phil not being particularly close to tommy are two ideas that can coexist. until we get proper interactions between their characters (or a proper statement from tommy on their characters' relationship) we should respect what phil has said - that they aren't blood related and tommy is not phil's son.

first of all, he kills wilbur. sure wilbur asked him to but it was entirely his choice. wilbur is his first-born.

then he only visits tommy like once in exile and basically makes fun of him. then he is never around when tommy is when tommy comes and lived with him and techno. and consequently teams up with dream, his son's abuser, then proceeds to destroy his sons' home.

he didn't even save friend. ghostbur trusted him to look after friend, and he let him die.

ok so. because wilbur decided not to format his work in the usual manner, i copy pasted it into a google doc to add the paragraph breaks where he put them/where they're supposed to be e.g. when there's a new speaker for dialogue.

i usually really struggle to read fics that are big blocks of text (which this is, especially if you're reading on mobile) and I know other people do too, so i've tried to make it more accessible and easily readable - especially since it's important canon for wilburs character and dsmp as a whole !

oh man I have a lot of feelings about c!phil (although I haven't seen much of his streams, so please correct me on things I get wrong)

honestly his motives r valid, however his execution of the plans and his interactions with like. every character except techno and possibly ranboo r pretty harsh.

he didn't save friend for ghostbur despite promising to take care of him - and it was a very quick thing that he admitted to knowing about. and they had a long while to prepare for destroying l'manburg, so he wasn't exactly short on time. he treated fundy, his canonical grandson, like shit (again i only have secondhand knowledge of this so correct me if I'm wrong) and also he and techno teamed with dream despite knowing that he had hurt/abused tommy in some way. as far as I am aware he also mainly blames tubbo, as the ex-president of l'manburg? even though in fact most of the problems with the actual government stemmed from his the cabinet (quackity, and fundy to a lesser extent). he also took immense pleasure in the distress of everyone trying to stop the explosions - who were not actually the people in the government (except for tubbo and maybe quackity? I'm not sure about him though). most of them weren't even citizens of l'manburg. then he told ghostbur it was all about sending a message against government, so he clearly hadn't taken into account that for a lot of people l'manburg was the community - for tommy, for example. he treats a lot of people with a cold indifference, for example the way he spoke to eret outside techno's house.

c!phil only really sees things (and most people) as having no sentimental value - which is fine, but then he doesn't respect that others may have attachments to people and things, and destroys or damages them without a thought as to how that can emotionally hurt someone. which he should really think about, since his main reason for destroying l'manburg was because how they had treated techno, who he cares about a lot.

he gets angry and upset his friend was hurt, then turns around and hurts everyone else without thinking - or caring - about it. c!phil is a pretty good character, but he isn't that great a person.
