i passed both cna exams!!! ya girl is a nursing assistant!!
Despite the whole, "loosing my account to a scamer" debacle that happened today, I also had to take my Certificated Nursing Assistant state exam today. Despite being a nervous wreck because I was thinking about my Tumblr account, thanks to Damin (🐺I am ☆calm☆ 🧘🏽), I could focus on my test. And I felt like I did a good job! I won't know the text results for a while though but I hope they're good.
Which way do you guys study better using an iPad or writing on paper?
So I've been working at a nursing home for two years now, and whenever I meet someone new and they ask me what I do for a living, the reaction I get is always the same.
"Oh, you're a CNA? I could never do that kind of work."
"Oh, you work in a nursing home? They don't pay you enough."
"You're doing the Lord's work!"
"What's the grossest thing you've ever had to do for an old person?"
"Do the old men hit on you?"
"Hey, could you look at this thing on my arm/leg/foot/genitalia/etc? I'm wondering if I should go see a doctor."

Life as a student nurse.........
Its been an emotional journey and I've learned so so much already. Between life at home and the life in a busy gastro-enterology ward it's been hard but so rewarding.
The day can go from looking so awake to then wearing visors, goggles, masks, aprons and gloves and sweating buckets looking after 32 patients with not alot of staff. Working during the pandemic has been a challenge on itself and when I'm not doing placements I'm working as a bank axillary nurse and being a mummy to my 2 beautiful babies.
I have seen many things as a student nurse such as patients passing away but there are also good things such as waving patients goodbye as they go home with family or giving a patients family a cuddle as they thank the staff for all there help and support.
And the journey continues as a bcs Adult nursing student here we go again, another nursing journey and a future for myself and the kids
I'm a freaking super genoious....
