Nice throwback I just received from my dear friend DJ Tito Valdez from Italy. This was during some of the best of years, during the 90’s, of the World Famous Copacabana in NYC. I was the head DJ at that time working there these nights, along with the best bands in the world of Salsa. Tuesday night, was always the most popular night, and every night averaged anywhere from 2000-4000 on any given night. This was by far the most famous and most known Salsa club in the world during that time, when Salsa was still at its peak in NYC. So many unforgettable memories during these years at The Copa! I remember the nights with Alex Sensation opening the nights, then I would DJ the later session and in the back room with Victor “Wepa Man” Vargas in the back room. And of course all the legendary Salsa bands the graced the stage in front of the DJ booth. Epic!!! Que viva la Salsa!
