Where's Warlic (Spoilers)

I find the thought of everyone and their mother asking Nythera if she killed him again the moment he disappeared to be amusing. It's a reasonable question considering she DID do it once but they didn't bear witness to her character development during her own little void saga and, as a result, all they know or recall about her is that she was the one that iced Warlic and called down the wrath of the Avatars upon Falconreach.

On a more serious note...

It's a pleasant sight to see Nythera at this point in her character development between the Rise of the Dragon Mage saga and the Calamity saga. She clearly has mellowed out and shaved down a good portion of that haughty attitude that got her, and everyone in her vicinity, into trouble but there's still that childish side of her that shows she's still got some growing to do, yet nevertheless still on the right path while doing so.

Love how it becomes immediately obvious as to why narrowing down Warlic's exact location has become a problem before the audience is told what the implication of this visualization likely indicates. Furthermore, it's a good showing as to why it's going to take some time to find the Professor with everything else going on.

[After “A New Student”] Nythera: It’s okay, Belle, nobody’s parents are perfect. Nythera: I mean, my dad is weird and collects seashells. Your dad is in a cult that attacks innocent people. So... They’ve all got their quirks.

“Today I thought we’d try something new; draw someone you admire.”

“Drawing?” Jaania folded her arms and raised her eyebrow at Warlic, who was standing before them holding sheets of paper and… “Are those crayons?”

“Well we only have one set of magically reinforced pens, and I was intending on giving those to Alex.”

“Makes sense,” Alexander nodded, taking a sip of his tea. “Although couldn’t you ask Cysero…wait nevermind I heard it as I said it.”

“I…okay fine, it’s worth a shot,” Jaania sighed. “One question though; why is Nythera here?”

“I like drawing. I’m allowed to like things.”

“Okay!” Warlic interrupted quickly, passing out the paper and crayons before a row threatened to brew. “No time limit or anything, just have fun.”

**** “Okay, time to see what everyone’s got,” Warlic stood up. “I’ll go first, I drew Lady Celestia. She was a good friend, and very wise, even when we were both younger, and has guided many heroes. Jaania, you’re next."

“I did Trèsjoli Louveteau, the First Lady of the Paladin Order. She stood up for what was right and made Lore a safer place, which is ultimately what we all want.”

“A good choice. Alex?”

“I drew Jaania.”

“Oh,” Jaania picked up the drawing as it to examine it closely, but mostly to hide her reddening cheeks. “Thank you Alex…”

“And finally Nythera…Nythera that’s a self portrait.”

“I am big enough to admit that I often admire myself.”

I think you might remember me from a while ago, I posted a rough draft just like this one, twas supposed to be my OC and a, stuck-up as always, Nythera. In that post I basically said I had some seriou social problems and wanted to get into the DF fandom but couldn't really, so I even tried drawing, even though that's DEFINITELY not one of my strenghts so I could try and get more into it. I actually received some really nice messages welcoming me into the fandom, that actually made me really happy, though my head is something else- I couldn't help but feel like I was just bothering, even thought that might (I hope) not be the case. I was even thinking of trying to post some writings about my OC or something here later. Either way, I would like to thank you for those welcoming messages. This is my take two at trying to fit into this fandom, sorry for the long text and sorry for the... rant. Well, there's a remake of that draft, this one looks better, IMO, I shall finish it one day. Drawing is hard... but it can be fun! Thanks for the attention!
