I also might be hc that Shockwave (Longarm) maybe wanting to be close to Empurata Sentinal because he knows how it feels to have that kind of punishment. Seeing someone else face the same punishment he had to go through made Shockwave want to befriend or get to know him 🙃

In this AU, Arachnus was the one who redirected Blackarachnia's anger from Sentinel, who was the last bot they both saw before they fell into the pit. All they need to focus on is how to return to a non-techno-organic state.
When they met Sentinel again, they saw that their cause had punished Sentinel with something that had long been recorded as forbidden, with how cruel the punishment was. They (mostly Optimus, cause Blackarachnia thought that Sentinel could use a bit more humiliation) thought that it was cruel enough and wanted to make Sentinel go rogue with them. The Autobot Cause is NOT worth it.
But Sentinel was in denial when meeting them, and after they told him who they truly were. Because what if they were alive, what if his effort to call out for them after he called for help wasn't in vain, what if his punishment was all for
As for Shockwave, He could get to know him. But merely from the information he got as Longarm, as he and Sentinel had not met long (unlike the original timeline), as Sentinel was thrust into the space bridge repair team and not Longarm's commander.
thought Shockwave would feel more lenient to disgust rather than pity, as Sentinel is still holds a high trust in the Autobot's cause despite the punishment he was given.
