I'm starting to see people crash out a little bit over the last couple days so friendly advice from your Internet Stranger you should definitely trust to remember:
Post-Event Crash is Real. Any event you look forward to and get intensely emotional for in a positive way will have a comedown as you are drained.
This can happen quickly and immediately, or more gradually leaving you in a bad mood with a pessimistic despair the day after. This chemical process varies a bit but it's the same general idea whether we're talking about Blue Mondays coming off of E (so called because they skipped Sunday), SubDrop / Top Drop, or Post-Convention / Concert Crash.
Or in this case, what feels like an incredible series finale with no confirmation of what comes next but a lot of speculation and back and forth teasing from all sides.
Especially if you have ADHD, we have that busted dopamine regulator so our highs are higher but when we're empty we crash harder and completely empty. So three days at least after any event.
So this is my Internet Stranger Advice. Here is what we Know:
We just had a Truly Incredible Experience and we are coming down HARD.
The NEXT thing coming we do know. It will be a teaser or trailer for the documentary coming out before March and maybe release date. And there is plenty of hype and excitement about how great that is going to be. We don't know how many years of footage and story that has but they seem Excited about it. After the documentary (less than six months) who knows?
Until then we have so much new material and edits and gifs to make and fic to write and archiving to do and all that jazz.
But this week? We need to Stop.
A lot of us have holidays coming up.
Journal. Meditate if you do. Sit with your feelings and the present and don't drift to the future.
Be Kind to yourself. Reach out to friends and ask them to be kind to you if you need it.
Do whatever you need to do to refill your dopamine tanks.
If you're Northern Hemisphere make sure you're getting your sunshine or vitamin D
And Drink Water. Or tea. ESPECIALLY if you attended the last shows but even not. You would not believe how much the body uses water when under stress like this and dehydration, even mild dehydration, is the first thing to make you feel like shit and snowball.
Now go do what you need to do since you've put your hands in the life of a Rock and Roll band.
"He split the band up on his terms and I'll be getting it back on my terms. And I'm a reasonable person but I'm very good friends with the universe and we have ways of making it happen. He will come round to calling me and that is it. He will call me, I know he will, cos the universe will make him."
Quote of the year. Thank you Liam.
Seeing Liam said goodbye to his solo career somehow is confusing me actually, first of all I’m so happy to see Oasis getting back together and happy for Liam that finally he gets his brother and his band back, but why Noel hasn’t said that he will end his solo career but Liam said that? Like no matter who’s the drummer or whoever is in the band, Noel must be included in the band then it can be called Oasis, but seems both Liam and Noel aren’t very sure about the future (if Oasis will still exist after next year’s tour), and under this unsure future Liam said goodbye to his solo career? What if Noel decide to do some solo stuff after the tour? Like does Liam want to end his career in a band, if Oasis doesn’t exist in the future he will retire then? It’s so confused
Oasis documentary producer Steven Knight talking about what to expect from the doc! (x)
SK: It's phenomenal. We got it down to 4 hours, so we gotta get it down to— but it's a documentary with a plot, d'you know what I mean? It's actually got a story and then we've expanded it, you'll see when you see it. But yeah [Noel and Liam] are great, I've interviewed them and they're just one quote after another. They're just so funny!
Just give those 4 hours no editing no nothing just give meeeeee
So Noel will be there. But Liam said "WE" and I believe him
??????OASIS 2026?? A SCREEN IN THE ARGENTINIAN FOOTBALL DRAW GLITCHED AND SHOWED A THING FOR "OASIS 2026" wtf is going on???
Noel: Well you know I'm a musician. I write songs for a living.
Q: So you're currently writing new songs, that's what you're saying?
Noel: Yeah, yeah. That's what I'm doing, that's what I do.
