Commission for Airplanefoxx of their Tundra dragon, Zil, representing the scrapped to-be villain of the animated movie Cars 2. Considering the inspiration behind his character, and the fact this was going to be a monochrome commission, I decided to challenge myself to work on a “negative”. For a first time result, I’m pretty happy - he looks as menacing as he should. Apologies for the radio silence; I love to draw, but I have so much going on offline that I rarely get the chance to nowadays. I’m definitely going to keep it up, though - in fact, although I expect to upload relatively few drawings until I’m done catching up with Real Life, I’ll make every one of them count. It’s been a while since I last felt I did an artistic quality jump. I’m overdue for another, and I won’t let anything stop me.
