I am partial to Carukia barnesi which is also known as the Irukandji jellyfish. It is fascinating that such a minuscule creature can pose a threat of that magnitude.

Lily & Solomon’s Story (Part 2):

“Why are you following me again?” I didn’t even have to look up from my game to know it was that weird white haired boy from next door. He always follows me and has some excuse.

“We live in the same direction.” “I’m not going home and you know it.” All I got in return was a chuckle. “What do you want?”

“Want to see a magic trick?”

“Not really, no.”

Running front of him and standing in my way, that stupid grin of his was still in place. It made me really mad for some reason. There was no way of me getting out of this... maybe I could punch him? No... I’d just get in trouble with mommy.

“Ready?” Bringing his hands together, a small glow came from between his hands. When he opened them, butterflies flew out! It was amazing! The smug look on his face made whatever wonderment I felt in the moment burst like a bubble.

“So you can make butterflies fly out of your hands. Big deal.” He looked surprised then determine. Oh no... what did I do?!

“Is that so? Well, I guess I’ll just have to try harder.”
