Ibn Maajah narrated from Jundub Ibnu ˆAbdillaah that he said: كنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم و نحن فتيان حزاورة فتعلمنا الإيمان قبل القرءان ثم تعلمنا القرءان فازدنا به إيمانا "We were strong young men with the Prophet, and we learned belief before we learned the Qur'aan, then we learned the Qur'aan, and by it our belief increased." There is a small booklet attributed to a deviant Wahhaabiyy man named ˆAbdul ˆAziz Ibn ˆAbdullaah Ibn Baaz called The Important Lessons for the Muslim Ummah. In it, he says that the first lesson is memorizing the opening surah of the Qur'aan, and the second lesson is learning the meaning of the shahaadah. This is a direct contradiction of the Sunnah, and whoever contradicts the Sunnah is rejected, especially in the fundamentals of the Religion.

The ^awrah (unlawful nakedness).

For the man: the are between the navel and the knees. For the woman: everything except her face and hands. (This is the ruling of Imam ash-Shafi^iyy, May Allaah raise his rank.) What is this new trend of women wearing the scarf and leaving their front part of their head uncovered, so that their hair can show. This is not covering correctly, and not permissible. Everyone must cover their ^awrah, it is an obligation.
