Star goddesses

So working on a star goddess for an story line I'm working on. As such here are some examples of star goddesses I intend to use as references.

1.Astraea (Greek Mythology): Known as the "Star Maiden," Astraea was associated with justice and purity. She was said to have ascended to the heavens and became the constellation Virgo.

2.Nut (Egyptian Mythology): Nut was the sky goddess who stretched across the heavens, her body adorned with stars. She symbolized the cosmic order and the night sky.

3.Ix Chel (Mythology of Mayans): Ix Chel was both a star and moon goddess as well as a medicine and fertility goddess, however it seems to be debated on what her title was as it appears she used to be a moon goddesses but is not just simply a fertility and midwifery goddess.

4.Hesperides (Greek Mythology): The nymphs were occasionally associated with the golden apples of immortality and evening star. They were the daughters of the starry night.

i think ramona's first abilities to manifest are her visions of the future, and i think they start like deja vu at first, but then turn to full blown visions that like. throw her into a mini coma, essentially. her body shuts down and becomes locked in the present time while her mind is drawn forward into the future, allowing her to see events to come. her mind free floats through time like this, and is only drawn back to the present before her state of nonexistence can screw with time too much. like how time travelers tend to go back to their origin around a five day window at least, except its her mind going back into her body.

the first time it happens so severely is such a drain on her ma. her ma is probably the sweetest soul, but is realistic and down to earth, too. i imagine shes fairly insightful, and maybe caught on when ramona's deja vu became more prominent, but she didn't expect something like this. obviously, she goes to human doctors first, because i don't think she understood what ramona was going through, exactly, only that it might not be... normal, but regardless, human doctors. when ramona wakes up, fine and healthy, they want to do further testing, but her ma refuses. 'she's healthy, ain't she? nothin' wrong that you can see? so she'll go home, and if it happens again, then we'll talk about testing' and then she takes ramona home. they don't go back the next time, because by this point mama ardelean has done some research, and she knows regular doctors can't help with this.

so she starts teaching ramona some spiritualism. not anything specific, mostly just staying in touch with her body, trying to help her figure out any triggers or signs, and eventually ramona becomes aware enough to know when an episode is coming on, and they have a quiet room for when that happens, where ramona lays down to prepare, and where she rests afterward.

her other abilities manifest gradually. her levitation begins to happen during her meditations/quiet time. its mostly a further way to lock her in time, to keep her body in place and immovable while her mind wanders the timelines, seeing events she may never get to see for herself otherwise. her ma's first encounter with this ability is a shocking one, coming home from a long day, wanting to see her baby girl and ask about her day, what events may transpire in the weeks to follow, just to let her daughter talk about it. instead, she finds ramona floating, her hair drifting in the air, and when she tries to pull her down, she can't. a floating person should be able to be pulled down with gravity, but ramona isnt necessarily moving up or down or side to side, shes just hovering a few feet from the ground, unmoving. so that's something they have to deal with now, and a mattress gets moved into the quiet room.

her other ability comes at a cost. ramona witnesses her mothers death. her future death, sees her mother on her deathbed, and ramona's own hand is larger, fingers longer than they are at the small age of 9 years, so its years into the future. but her mother witnesses it, too. her mother, who had been awakened from a nap by ramona's sobs, had entered the room to find the scenes playing on the floor in front of her daughter, like dolls acting out the girl's imagination. except, it wasn't, it was the future, and now she knew what the circumstances of her own death were.

ramona was not the same after that. sadder, withdrawn, and despite her ma's best efforts, the visions that had begun to seem like a gift were now a curse. ramona's mind was stuck on death, the inevitable ticking clock of life, and that was all she could see.

i think the way im leaning is ramona grows with this and tries to still be present as much as she can, but the future is a heavy weight on her shoulders, now, and sometime in her teens, probably after making more friends and experiencing the highs of life, she turns from dwelling on the bad to burying it down deep, holding onto the positivity of life instead.

and then around 15, 16 years old is when she makes a big scene, not on purpose though. some guys are being jerks in whatever local hotspot she and her friends are hanging out at, and she tries to stand up to them, but they back her into a metaphorical corner and her anger bubbles to the surface while her fear manifests into the illusion of some giant terrifying creature. maybe a lion, or a dinosaur, or a shark for some reason. she scares them off, and also scares her friends on accident, and im not 100% familiar with xmen enough rn, members or timelines, to decide which xman approaches her first, but i'll get to that eventually.

i think ramona having a almost crushing fear of every passing moment that draws death further to her mother, herself, her friends, anyone she knows, and her causing unintentional fear because of how she exists, the way her abilities manifest, just feels interesting. being such a fearful individual that fear not only follows you but leeches off of you like smoke on water is gonna be interesting to think abt with her as a character ,,,,,
