Real talk, I'm really happy about the positive response I've received over the past few months to the fact that Toshiaki, protag of my mech comic Blade of Seafoam, is a trans man
I was nervous about how ppl would react, but it turns out I had nothing to be nervous about 🥺 Thank you guys for that

On planet Delphi in the year 2193 H.E., plastic scale model kits of Izanagi Federation military Coreframes are manufactured by Takuya Industries... The more things change, the more they stay the same
After watching @cerastes’ MonHun stream, I kinda want to design a mecha based on Crimson Glow Valstrax
I think it would be all silver, with red accents, but it should have a super mode that turns it all red, like the Trans-Am System from Gundam 00.
Would the red accents glow? Maybe.
It should also have wing-like boosters with a variety of functions too. From providing additional propulsion, to being able to thrust out the boosters like a lance in melee, to begin able to shift the boosters to the front of the mech, combine them, and a powerful beam of energy.
(Weaponized Exhaust?)
And finally, it should be able to transform into a vaguely bird-like dragon mode for high speed movement.
Needless to say, it can also cloak itself in its energy and crash into the enemy, like Valstrax’s “Ambush”
Finding solace in another world only for a childhood acquaintance of yours to end up there as well (lowkey because of your own fault) so now you have to try to get him back while he tries to convince you to go back as well, but you cant because you were supposed to be the next leader of the community and everyone thinks you’re dead also you’re working on a masters degree like pick a struggle
Shining a light on my ocs Sol and Mecha right before classes start, we love to see it 🥰
Lore ramble beloooow
Marisol Constanza de Citopil was taken from her parents at a young age when the council that governed Sirikin received a vision that she would be their next leader. The young owl-mix performed her first holding of the protective light for the city during the winter solstice at the age of six to an awe-full crowd, including an impressionable eight-year old Julio ‘Mecha’ Medinao, a cat-mix who’s family owned a growing brewery and who had run into the birdling hours before and shared some candy with her.
Her magic was unstable at times, but especially after an upsetting birthday when Marisol was older. This resulted in her ending up Sanicol City, under the care of an older woman who helped her adjust to society. Marisol found purpose in academics, especially in the sciences and medicines that were similar to the practices she had learned growing up with the council.
In Sirikin, the council sent soldiers in search of Marisol, but after three years of searching, they deemed her dead. The city mourned and the council could not find another heir, as they had been “nearly perfect”. While many believed the Ajaw, or leader, dead except for one future-heir of his family’s brewery, Julio. Although grown up, his mother refused to hand the full reigns to him due to his ‘inappropriateness’ in refusing to let Marisol rest in peace and how that could affect business if he brings it up.
When going for a ponder by a creek, Julio ends up falling through, ending up before a surprised Marisol who had gone to reminisce at the place where she had also first arrived in Sanicol City. Due to his ears, teeth, claws and tail, Marisol knows immediately where he comes from, but does not recognize him like he does them.
Helping him dry up and hide back in her apartment, Marisol lets Julio know she will help him find a way back to Sirikin, refusing to go back with him when Julio reveals that he knows who she is. Julio can’t argue without reason, so he agrees to her help and to trying to keep a low profile as he can’t magically hide his features like her. Jobs, paying bills, beach, rain, academic validation, vibes.
