is the text kinda cheesy? yes. Did the drawing feel like it was missing something without it? also yes

Yes, Artsy does/would overblot however I am still yet to figure out... how...

I have like one personal experience I could use but like... i don't really want to? or at least just yet

its mainly difficult cause she's a self-insert and I have had a pretty uneventful/boring life 😔

so currently I only have the final thing that pushed her over the edge 😔

Meet My Yuu’s Overblot Form

Yeah… pretty old character from 3 years ago. Still love her, though. Also, something the info doesn’t mention is why blue and green.

In Epic Mickey, you have paint (a blue color that brings things to life) and thinner (a green color that destroys everything). Surprisingly, even in game, these abilities came with a cost: Mickey became partially blot himself. What’s more, emotions seem to be tied to the colors: happiness and loyalty came from the blue paint while anger and resentment came with the green thinner.

I had incorporated this into my Yuu’s design. She would absorb the blot and sort of filter it, turning the emotions within into either paint or thinner. When showing her overblot form, she would have no Phantom and just cry paint.

I changed my character since, but it’s nice to look back at the old stuff.

I have been wondering on Alce and how her appearance changes before, during and after Overblot. So here we are (zoom for better quality)

Pre-Overblot

Short hair

Can't control her anger very well and lashes out easily

Pushes people away and is generally rude and harsh

Can't feel much other than anger

Overblot

Long hair again because she had long hair in the past

Has horns like Malleus made out of blot because she is family to them Draconias and it's also a call back to Meleanor

Overblot marks in the shape of Meleanor's crown's front because Alce is her daughter and her rage is hers

Black eyes to symbolize blind rage

Blot on ears, making them look pointy because she is half-fae and that's all everyone needed in the past to discriminate (her not having pointy ears)

Blot markings on neck where the head was detached after her death

Post-Overblot

Long hair remains

Temporarily blind because the blot affected her eyes

Tears are grey from the blot

Faint Overblot marks

Coughs up blot occasionally

Weak from the Overblot to the point she can't even stand up or walk

for those of you who don't feel like reading the drabble...fair enough

here's my overview of....

Ben's Overblot

This takes place in between books 6 and 7

Something happens after everyone gets back from S.T.Y.X and Ben goes missing for at least a week and a half

(He sees Idia and Ortho starting to heal from their trauma, gets irrationally upset about it, and uses Silent World to get some space from them, uh-oh, he gets lost and stuck for the length of time)

Idia sees the tracker Ben wears come back online in the woods around NRC so he enlists Spencer and Ortho to come help him retrieve Ben

The amount of memories Ben lost was underestimated and the sudden surroundings sends him into a frenzied panic

Cue overblot loose in the woods about to start hunting people down

From there we get a horrifying game of life-or-death tag through the forests of NRC, true horror movie style

His overblot gimmick is draining other people's memory to help fuel his reserves

This is gonna go great :3

Looks and abilities wise, oooooh boy

very steampunk inspired, we're talking poet shirt, corset stylized with gears and or wires, slacks, combat boots

wires wrapped around his limbs almost like puppet strings

his shattered glasses turn into a pair of those heavy duty steampunk goggles with heavily cracked lenses

Ben now has cables coming from his shoulder blades and back connecting to the phantom's fist

it would look almost like the Shouki no Kami boss in Genshin Impact

speaking of the overblot phantom, his looks like Captain Flint :)

and because the ob is rapidly draining his magic and he can use memories as a power source i think you may be able to guess where my thought process is going but like

i do think it would be cool if the wires around Ben's limbs were doing a lil lashing out to try to latch on to people and syphon memories to keep powering the phantom
