I made her awhile ago as my first Durge run. Cunning, elegant and deadly what more could you want, well redemption perhaps. Her journey was a balance of remembering her past and deciding if the memories she's fighting for are even worth remembering to begin with. A woman smitten with a certain tiefling wizard, but unsure if she trusts herself with him.

"Bloody Hells." Rolan grumbled as he scrubbed at Elspeth's scalp for a third time. Still shocked at just how bloody this woman could get herself covered in. "How did you even manage to get this much blood this caked into your hair?!"

The tiefling was beginning to regret turning down Astarion's assistance with her bath, the elf's words now making more sense "As deliciously beautiful as our leader is I can assure you that my offer is entirely platonic. Washing your darling ex Bhall-babe here is a group effort most nights" the groups cleric had snorted and responded with "Most? Washing her hair was a 3-person job at the very least up until recently"

Lost in his thoughts he almost missed the soft chuckle coming from the enchanting woman below him. "What's so funny?" The teifling questioned "Nothing, I just think you look cute pouting like that." This caught Rolan off-guard and had him sputtering "I- I was NOT pouting, simply lost in thought about how wretchedly hard it is to clean your hair. I cannot believe this wasn't simply an oversight by the God that made you."

Another laugh, so full of joy. " To be fair, I don't think Bhaal intended me to do anything but kill" shit.. Rolan had forgotten that his partner was a Bhaalspawn, but before he could spiral on that blunder, Elspeth mercifully spoke again. "Besides, if you think this is bad, imagine the hells I went through trying to clean it before I cut it short."

Rolan shivered at the thought of having to clean Elspeth's nearly floor-length braid, he questioned how she did it, and his beloved, amused, replied "Well before all of this I probably either didn't care or had servants and cultists do it for me, as for our adventure well... I usually had Shadowheart, Karlach, and Astarion helping me. And sometimes Gale would cast prestidigitation just to be sure we got it all"

"At least now my hair is short and it's only the remains of my ex. I feel kinda bad for the others, they had to pick bits of goblin, worg, gnoll, and other various beasties out of that mess" Rolan chuckled and shook his head. Gods he loves this woman, even when she manages to get bits of Archduke stuck in unmentionable places all over herself. But that's the price of dating Elspeth, and Rolan wouldn't have it any other way.

⚠️DARK URGE SORYLINE SPOILERS⚠️

After the battle against Orin, Elspeth, newly freed has some emotional stuff to work through and decides to give herself a little makeover, during this makeover, she cuts her hair. She doesn't see Rolan for a few days after for several reasons, mostly involving the fact that they're both very busy right now. And also her anxiety about his reaction to her new appearance is overwhelming.

But eventually, with a little push from her friends (Specifically because Astarion threatened to "Drag that wizard boyfriend of yours by his stupid little mantle to camp") she went to go see him, he had been running some errands at the time. So Cal and Lia had her wait upstairs.

Rolan was shocked for many reasons. Not only was this the first time in almost a week he'd seen his partner and she looks different than when he last saw her, but she comes to him explaining that she's finally freed herself (at the cost of her baby sister).

Rolan may not be the most emotionally intelligent man, but he knows when the woman he loves needs a hug, holding her and reassuring her that she is still very beautiful to him, that he is so, so proud of her, and that he's here for her, no matter what.

Violence

Physical Violence is a common, yet bold hate language. It’s old as time and is as natural as rain. It’s often one of the first thoughts that come to us when we feel hatred, but you actually have the moxie to go through with it. Fist fights at bars and you think assassination is the best option in politics. You’re an absolute loose canon. Your most likely crime would be murder. The only down side of this hate language is how hard it is to get away with it.

To likely no ones shock Elspeth's hate language is violence. A woman of practicality, Elspeth gets straight to the heart of the issue, typically quite literally. Those on Elspeth's shit-list do not typically last long and the end is quite usually swift and brutal. Coincidentally violence is her love language as well though the target of the violence changes depending on love or hate. Throughout Elspeth's story, she meets many, an unlucky few will have hurt the ones she cares for, and they, they will die and they will suffer. For the people she loves there are no lines Elspeth won't cross, no blood too powerful, in the end Elspeth brings about equality in death.

“Loathsome bastard” she thought as she looked at Lorroakan, the pitiful worm that dared to lay a hand on her Rolan, that dared to attempt to cage Aylin her friend. The welp barely qualified as a wizard, and yet here he stands as if he has something to be proud of. The pricks only accomplishment being coning her sweet Rolan into believing he was a worthwhile mentor and breaking his spirit. Not on her watch, he had no idea who he had messed with by hurting her beautiful Rolan.

“I had hoped to appeal to your better nature. Perhaps I overestimated you. No bother, I have an arsenal of implements capable of convincing you to see reason” the coward uttered his useless words, not that it mattered to Elspeth who he was talking to, she had heard enough of this parasite, it was time to act. “You’ve made a fatal mistake you bastard” she hissed, this rat seemed amused at her venom and replied “Tut. A pity you didn’t prove a more reliable ally. You could have reaped the rewards of my good favor”. Acting like dangling a carrot on a string in front of a snake would do anything other than provoke its bite. “I’d hoped you’d keep an open mind, but it seems you’re determined to make this as difficult as possible.” Turning to Rolan he demanded “Boy! At the ready. Once I’ve taken control of the aasimar, she must go directly into the caging runs” Finally finding his voice Rolan said “No, Master Lorroakan. I would never have assisted you if I knew you planned such horrors. You lied to get the Nightsong here. Made us all believe she was nothing but a relic. I have seen what true leadership can accomplish-but never under your tutelage” he was looking at her now. After all she had done for him, he knew she’d have his back, and he’d have hers. What that worm said next she didn’t quite care but seeing her strong Rolan finally bite back was everything. This would be a quick fight.

Dodging spells and striking down myrmidons, the team had their hands full but nevertheless Elspeth kept a watchful eye on her favorite wizard as he showed off exactly why he deserved the best. Until a fireball came to close, Rolan caught in the crossfire was knocked to the ground. Change of plans. Sending Shadowheart over to help Rolan, and Gale to protect him from further harm. She made her way to the pest that dared hurt her Rolan, Astarion and Aylin seeing the rage instantly knowing to stay out of her way. Swiftly knocking Lorroakan off his feet, she quickly set about snapping his femur to ensure he didn’t stand up again.

Grabbing the rat by his neck she uttered deathly quiet “That was a mistake” before quickly smashing his head against the railing, not quite done she threw him to the center of the room where she then asked “What is it like being the one broken and helpless on the floor-” Noticing an attempt to cast a spell she stomped on his head causing him to bite his tongue hard enough to spit blood “ah ah ah, no more of that” voice still barely above a soft hum, she continued “As I was saying… how is it finally being the one at the mercy of a deranged lunatic” the insult not being lost on either of them “Did you enjoy hitting him? Did it make you feel strong for a moment” all he could do was glare at her. “Well I’m afraid that moment is over” grabbing him by his neck, finally ready to stop playing with her food, “May Kelemvor have the mercy I lack” quickly snapping his neck and dropping him like a broken toy, she looked over to Rolan, the new Archmage, Master of Ramaziths Tower. No one that valued their life would oppose him, she’d make sure of that, but first. “Rolan?” “Lorroakan is dead. The bastard is dead” “That he is, my love”
