—Familiarity

Honey colored gaze fell upon a familiar figure from behind darkened sunglasses. She was peeking over her newspaper, legs crossed beneath the table she was seated at. The weather was actually nice for it being the middle of February, so naturally she was seated outside. It offered a better view, and a better ear. A brow quirked when a sudden flash of memory hit her. Wasn’t that--? Ada was only here to meet someone. That’s the message she was given anyway. But surely it wasn’t her. Part of Ada had to admit she rather liked the ruggedness of this woman. But part of Ada also knew she had been killed and cloned and brainwashed. Her presence didn’t particularly bode well for the current surroundings. But perhaps there was something Ada wasn’t aware of. And that simply piqued her curiosity. Nimble fingers worked to close the paper, fold it, and neatly lay it across the table before she stood to saunter over to the other, casually linking her arm with the opposing female’s to make it look innocent as possible. She leaned in, kept her voice low and velvety smooth, “act natural and we’ll discuss your presence here somewhere more quiet. I’ve a curiosity to satisfy.”
