🔪Occam’s Razor, or: The Timeline That Refuses to Behave🔪
Non est ponenda pluralitas sine necessitate.
When multiple explanations are offered, the one that introduces the fewest assumptions is almost always the right one.
In short: Occam’s razor.
Everything cannot be true all at once.
If, during season four (officially filmed between October 9, 2017, and July 5, 2018), the situation was exactly as shown in the images below, then a child born in 2021 could not possibly have resulted from the Leading Lady’s first pregnancy.
Here’s another photo.
One can't help but wonder: what was concealed beneath the Leading Lady’s jacket? A conveniently placed prop? Or perhaps a hypothermic Eddie the Cat making an unscheduled appearance on the Outlander set? Or maybe a Little Human who wandered onto the set with their mum?
But don't forget that this is 2018.
The problem deepens further.
If, in January or February 2021, the Leading Lady was already visibly pregnant to the extent shown in the later images - and yes, Scotland’s winter weather records for 2020/2021 have been checked, including the final snowfall in February - then a child from a supposedly 'first pregnancy' could not have been born merely six months later.
. . .
The conclusion is unavoidable.
If the STARZ footage is accurate — and it must be — then the carefully curated narratives about the Main Characters' later lives (the gay friend elevated to husband status, and the Main Character reinvented as Laoghaire MacKenzie MacKimmie's third spouse) collapse into farce.
