as someone who has intrusive thoughts im gonna take this minute to project for a bit

when tanjirou has intrusive thoughts he tries to get rid of them by doing something physical, digging his nails into his palms, pinching himself, tugging on his hair, something enough to make it hurt for a while so that the thoughts get out of his head

also when i say tugging on his hair i mean that he still has his long hair bc he deserved that ponytail

Gosh yes to all of this, he probably started off shaking his head to try and get the thoughts out, which developed into blinking rly hard, which developed into pinching or tugging at his earrings, which developed into pulling his hair; because he wants the thoughts out but he doesn't want to alarm anyone who might be watching him

OCD is currently consumed with the idea I blended a wire ball whisk into my partner’s smoothie and he’s in grave danger but i’m telling myself that’s unlikely bc there’s no metal in the blender and the blades are fine and also that’s insane. he did ask tho bc he also has ocd. and i can’t find the whisk. so. good morning
