Underwater cleanup days

Krabi Provincial Administrative underwater Cleanup Days at Koh Hong. in 2 days with 40 divers we removed 670 kg of rubbish and abandoned Fishing nets of the area around Koh Hong. Thank you to all involved.

Gali Nuva- Heavy Armour

Merry Christmas everyone! I’ve been on hiatus for most of 2018, but I still wanted to keep last December’s tradition: drawing any new character designs.

Last year I had a hard time coming up with armour ideas that were both cultural and practical, which is why last year’s designs have Gali in armour that didn’t offer much protection. This year, I it was my goal make her an outfit suited not only for actual combat, but one that also enabled her to swim underwater without being too heavy, as well as blend into the environment if she needed to.

So, having done more research on practical armour, and thinking of ways to make her design culturally distinct from the other Koro, I thought it would be cool if Gali’s amour was made almost entirely of oceanic materials, such as sea shells, shark skin, fish scales, and marine animal bones. Armour Details:

Gali’s chest piece and shoulder guards are reinforced with natural carbon-fibre and coated in mother-of-pearl for extra strength. Her seaweed skirts help conceal her in aquatic environments (and become easily detached if snagged or pulled), and a shark-skin wetsuit keeps her warm in cold waters.

Hopefully I’ll have it inked and coloured by April, As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Today: Sea Shepherd. Brand new Ocean Warrior is presented to the public in the port of Amsterdam
