I'm getting sick of movie remakes and adaptations and sequels/prequels etc. I want more fun concept movies!! A rat that's really good at cooking!! A fairytale princess in modern day New York City! Museums where the exhibits come to life at night!! Bunch of guys committing heists!! PLEASE get some people in a room, overdose them on caffeine, have them come up with a really stupid idea and then have them execute it brilliantly into a movie a whole generation of kids will love and remember ok what I really need is to live in a world where every year is 2007

chapter one || rusty ryan. shivers

pairing: robert "rusty" ryan x oceans!reader

summary: you and rusty have had feeling for each other but with danny being rusty’s best friend and danny being your ‘brother’ draws the line between you two, but later on in the chapters that line becomes very thin.

you entered the bar walking through the crowds to the bar stools taking a seat

danny, you weren’t siblings by blood but you grew up with him and rusty, so you were like family to danny. you hadn’t seen danny since well, he was in prison, rusty was off somewhere teaching people how to play poker and frank, well isn’t exactly frank at the moment.. basher is somewhere across the country, turk and virgil were also unavailable so you’ve been on your own for 4 years now.

“hey, what can i get for ya?” the lady at the counter asked with a smile making you snap out of your thoughts 

“uh, just a shot of vodka” you say with a polite smile

“you wanna put that on a tab?” she asks you as you glance to your left your smile fading slightly as you spotted the dirty blonde and brunette talking as they sat side by side in a booth. 

“make that two shots..” i say 

after 4 years and danny had gotten out of prison with his partner and crime, rusty. 

you’ve always had a crush on rusty but you’ve never had the courage to tell him. danny always saw right through you every time you told him you didn’t like him, but what you didn’t know was that rusty liked you back, he always thought he was stupid for liking his best friends sister so he never asked you out, not wanting to seem like a total douche. and because he always thought you had a thing with turk

“here, that’ll be 11.27” the lady said handing you the two shots

“thanks, keep the change” you say placing cash on the counter grabbing one of the shots downing one of them before getting up with the other one in hand walking to danny and rusty’s booth

“stalking me?” you say sarcastically standing at their booth

danny smiled. you were always one for sarcasm and oh how they’ve missed it after 4 years.

“you caught us” rusty says back giving you a small wink as you smile sitting down in the booth in front of them. you and rusty always lightly flirted and danny would always tease rusty about it when they were alone

“you planning something?” you ask. danny doesn’t say anything for a second smirking slightly, you narrowed your eyes at slightly, knowing nothing good could come from that smirk

“when was the last time you were in vegas?” 

“vegas?” you say furrowing your brows slightly 

“which casinos?” you ask already knowing he was gonna rob one of them. they both hold up three fingers 

i scoff “which ones?” i say not believing them

“the Bellagio, the Mirage, and the…” 

“MGM Grand” rusty finishes his sentence 

you raise your eyebrows slightly realizing their being serious

“benny benedicts casinos, huh..” you say thinking for a moment “your gonna need-“ 

“we already do” danny says cutting you off

“who do you have?” 

danny starts talking about who he has on the team as you zone out starring at rusty. in your mind you weren’t more than his best friends little sister but you were so much more than that to rusty, i mean you and rusty flirted a little but he always thought it was just light flirting and it didn’t mean anything to you but it did.

rusty noticed you starring and smirked a little before you snapped out of your daze looking back at danny 

“you did not listen to a single thing i said did you” danny says 

“no no, i did” i say obviously lying

“uh huh..” danny says sarcasm and non-believing in his voice 

“what did he just say then?” rusty asks you a hint of playfulness in his voice 

“you are on the team…?” you mumble unsure rubbing the back of your neck 

danny just rolls his eyes putting his head down slightly as rusty chuckles, god his laugh was so ridiculously sexy

“you in or out?” danny asks jumping to the question 

you let out a sigh leaning back in the booth 

“i’m in.” you say
