Xarann for @ocmonthly !! I draw extremely long hair on so many of my characters lol This counts as 'short' in my dictionary.

Some fun facts about Xarann's hair - He cut it himself the first time, now he will request the diagonal uneven style. (Before he ran away from home it was more even) His hair is super thin and light like 'spider silk' (just drow things) It's off white towards yellow, but 90% of the time I shade it with purple so that doesn't stand out as much.

It's shaved in the back, but that's only visible where the hairline meets at the back. (and usually covered at most angles.)

here's my submission for @ocmonthly for september! the theme is tails, so i had to submit my main wol from FFXIV! his name is leo and he's cool and i like him.

This month's @ocmonthly is magic ! I surprisingly struggled with this one, turns out I don't have many characters with magic powers ? Or the ones floating in my brain don't really have a design yet.

Anyway here's this little mage (she/they), she's more of a concept than a fleshed out character at this point, but they're very fun to draw and very cute so.

Also woo traditional art for once ! i t's too goddamn hot to draw on the computer these days

Oc Monthly's theme this month is yellow. And what comes to mind with that prompt is one of my original world/species from the world I've titled "the Material Plane"

In a nutshell, the world itself is made from the denizens of this place, either from craft items or objects that had washed up from other worlds from the Glitter sea.

The denizens themselves are made of odd materials. A nail polish anthro rabbit, a lipstick vampire bat. That kind of thing. All beings here also have a vessel (nail polish bottle, a piggy bank, things like that) to rest and keep safe. So onto the particular character themselves.

Sugar: Sugar is a bear made of honey.  She's on the large side.  As her name suggests her personality is on the super sweet side.

Her vessel is a hand made thing made out of clay. It's been lovingly shaped into a bee hive and little white flowers painted onto it.

Sugar doesn't exactly have a job. She's more of a traveler who will pick up small jobs during said travels.

One may never know when they will see her walking down the road, her giant, blue, backpack where she keeps her vessel and things to trade.

YEXIA ZVERIS

She is my Sith Warrior from Star Wars the Old Republic~

Born to pureblood sith parents she is the youngest of three sisters - Jaeyi is the eldest, Izhae is middle sibling, and Yexia is the baby. …except for the part where she’s stronger and more force sensitive than either of her sisters and the Favorite.

Her family has a coming of age ritual that involves braving the wilds and facing a beast on your own - her sister Jaeyi went missing during her ritual and is presumed dead (in actuality, she barely survived and was rescued and nursed back to heath by Jedi who subsequently took her in). Izhae is not force sensitive, but managed to kill a beast through sheer force of will. Yexia also was successful, though it was in the fight with the beast that she got the distinguishing claw scars on her face.

Yexia’s story is one of growth and change - she meets people who challenge her world views and knock her down a few pegs, making her less of insufferable brat and into someone who is a caring older sister figure. Her story is about taking all the anger she has, all the wrath and channeling it into something good - something productive instead of destructive.

…she’s still hell on the battlefield though.

I love original characters a lot, and my favourite thing to do online for years is to look at and learn about OCs and share my own. SO I'd like to try this. Each month there will be a new theme for people to share their OCs that fit the theme. You can be as loose with the theme as you want, btw.

For March, to kick things off, the theme is Freckles! Share your OCs with freckles, spots, and dots. Share some fun facts or story about them! Encourage your friends to share theirs! And most importantly, interact with other users and their OCs!

Sound like fun? Here's how to join: Share a tumblr post with an OC that fits the theme in either the comments here or through an ask. Then I'll reblog that OC here. Simple! I want to give OCs the love they deserve, and I want to bring traffic to your original posts, so please submit a link to your post and don't just submit the OC details directly through the ask.

Also! This is NOT just for art. A lot of shares like this exclude other forms of creativity, but if you've got written bios about your character, if you want to share a short story about them, or you've composed music for them, ANYTHING AT ALL, feel free to share.
