The pertinent rule was to avoid being seen. Risking embarrassment in the pursuit of satisfying his curiosity alters people’s perception of him. He worries about being seen and not because he is afraid of people’s opinions, but just the sum of his weird behavior when he looks at the other folk. Allaying his fears, Tenga looks both left and right—to the possible exits he has, would he get caught with that strange look on his face—and finally speaks his mind when he finds nobody around. “Hey you..”
