After a disaster struck the clans of the living and even brought down StarClan itself, some thought the world has ended. But some saw it as a sign that they haven't been truly living as they should've, drowned in endless wars and pointless squabbles. Those who survived the catastrophe scattered in search of a new home, and one of those groups united to become CloudClan — a new home for those who needed it.

Here, I will try to recite the story of CloudClan in an attempt to hone my comic-making skill and find a simpler, quicker artstyle. Each moon, I will find something worth noting and draw it. English is not my first language, so if you notice any mistakes, please do correct me!

CW: Blood, Mentions of violence, Mentions of death. The list will probably grow as we go on.

Allegiances:

Lightstar — an upbeat and childish cat, despite his intimidating age of 94 moons. He used to be a mediator of RainClan, but when his home fell, he's been appointed as OddStar's deputy. Has a son, Daisysprout. #lightstar

Bleakdawn — Lightstar's deputy. She's responsible and reserved and usually serves as a counterweight to her leader's easy-going personality. Originally from LightningClan. #bleakdawn

Ashenfeather — medicine cat. Cold and impersonal, she keeps her distance from most clanmates, finding them more annoying than helpful. Despite this, she's very good at her job. Originally from SkyClan. #ashenfeather

Daisysprout — young warrior. Lightstar's son and a huge headache for everyone else. He's daring, borderline foolhardy, and doesn't yet have a good measure of his limits. Originally from RainClan. #daisysprout

Sunfin — warrior. She's very upbeat and lively, enjoys chatting with her clanmates and gossiping about different things. Her favourite pastime is pestering Bleakdawn and seeing the reaction. Originally from LightningClan. #sunfin

Mistleopard — young warrior. Despite his intimidating looks, he's quite shy and prefers being alone, rather than with his clanmates. He's been Bleakdawn's apprentice and also comes from LightningClan. #mistleopard

Peachkit — kitten. His parents were Oddstar and Goldenweed, and his mother died in the disaster that had befallen all the original clans, so Oddstar took his son with him. Unfortunately, Oddstar himself didn't survive the journey, so now Peachkit is very interested in his father's life and regularly pesters all the remaining Clan members asking for stories. #peachkit

Oddstar — the cat who gathered everyone together and founded CloudClan as it is. While he lead them most of the way, he unfortunately died before they found their forever home. But in death he discovered that StarClan still exists, albeit empty, so Oddstar became CloudClan's sole guide and protector. #oddstar

Meet the Leaders - HollowClan - Oddstar

🌾 Personality

Basic description: Oddstar is cheerful and friendly, he could talk about anything to anyone. From time to time he tends to fixate on a specific topic and nothing or anyone can stop him from rambling about it. The only place Oddstar doesn't seem so enthusiastic to talk to, is during Gatherings, bureaucratic talks bore him and he'd rather do anything else other than sit still and listen to an endless stream of reports. Still, Oddstar does his job diligently, trying his best to guide Hollowclan and aid his neighbors, when in need.

Oddstar can be spotted, rarely nowadays, at the top of Twolet Tower, watching the sunset sky, tinted with shades of blue and purple, looking at the Clans' territories. That's one of the only places where he sits stills, peacefully and quietly enjoying the evening breeze and the passing of the day.

🌾 Background

Anyone that knew Oddstar when he was a kitten, they knew that him and his brother Sunkit were inseparable. Sunkit was Fallenstar's litter's first-born and was named after their father, Sunflower. Oddkit, born with an entire day's difference from his brother, got his name due to the unusualness of his birth.

When they were kittens, Oddkit and his brother spent most of their days in the nursery with their father. Fallenstar being leader, was always too busy and didn't have much time to dedicate to her children. That was what their father always told them, anyway. Oddstar never resented his mother, she was someone he loved and knew loved him back, but she was a stranger to him. His brother on the other hand, barely got along with her and it worsened after their father's death in the middle of their apprenticeship. After that Oddpaw and Sunpaw only had each other and spent most of their apprenticeship days exploring, going on so-called adventures and making trouble. Whenever something happened it was always the two of them and every cat in HollowClan assumed that Sunpaw dragged his little brother into every and any kind of dangerous situation, mostly because he had a stronger, bolder and more adventurous personality. But contrary to popular belief, Oddpaw was just as mischievious as his older brother. No one ever forced him to do anything, and sure, he followed his brother's initiatives, but most of the times the ideas sparked from him and Sunpaw just took the lead.

The two brothers always knew that one of them would end being leader eventually, but they never spoke about it until they received their warrior names. As per HollowClan's customs, the newly named warrior and tunnler made their way to the top of Twoleg Tower to stand guard. There, as the sinking sun painted the sky red, Oddstar admitted to his brother to not wanting to become leader. Sunchaser and Oddpurr made a promise.

"You'll be my deputy then, Oddpurr. And we'll look after HollowClan and keep it safe together."

Many moons later, during Sunchaser's travel to Starcave he lost his one and most precious life right before recieving The Ancestor's nine blessings.

Oddstar still keeps his promise.
