Reporters and cops, the two groups of people that Gotham’s vigilantes crossed paths with the most once their endeavors were over. Once the bad guys were put away and civilians were out of harms way. Each time they saved the day, it seemed you were always there with your microphone in one hand and a camera pointed your way.
“Robin! Robin, do you care to comment on tonight’s attack?” You called to the masked boy in his skintight suit, what a ridiculous getup for such an attractive—
“Anything for you, Mx. l/n.” Robin ran to the camera while Batman sulked behind him, still putting criminals in cuffs and shoving them into cop cars to be carted off to prison.
“Please, call me y/n.” You told him, nearly forgetting the camera broadcasting live to the concerned people of Gotham.
“Well, y/n, you can rest easy tonight knowing that these guys have been put away, it’ll be a long while before they can walk the streets of our city again.” Robin proudly announced, not noticing a small squabble behind him between his partner and a half-conscious goon. “I’m always around to save the day—or night.”
“Robin!” Batman called as one more goon hopped up and charged towards the camera, nearly pouncing at you before one swift fist blocked his momentum and sent him towards the ground. You gasped and jumped back, watching Robin cuff this one in the lens of your camera.
“Well, I’ll have to make sure Batman doesn’t have anymore runners. Hope to see you again soon, y/n.” Robin waved goodbye as he dragged his KO away.
Later that night, Dick shed his vigilante suit and immediately turned the news on, waiting to get a good look at you from the Batcomputer.
“Dick.” Bruce sternly said his name.
“Hang on, their about to come on again.” Dick waved him away and stared at your news channel.
“You’d ought to pay more attention to your job before you go off flirting with news reporters.” Bruce warned his partner and protégé. “Next time, you might not block them from the bad guys.”
“Yeah, I had it under control. Next time, I might even get their number.”
