Roland Garros 2025 - Final Match // If, by Rudyard Kipling
I like it when I'm laying in a body of water while staring at the sky and all the sounds around me are diluted by the water so it sounds like the sounds are all muffled and distant
I like that a lot

Do you remember?
That day You are so tired
It hurt
You were alone
No one Cared
They only saw your flaws
Please don't cry anymore
They won't hurt you
Never again
“Moony?”
“Mmm.”
“Moony?”
“Pads, I’m sleeping.”
“...”
Remus grumbled, rolled over. “What is it love?”
Sirius gnawed his lip and twisted until he was facing Remus. “If you could go anywhere… Where would you go?”
Remus smiled without opening his eyes. “That’s easy.”
“Yeah?”
“I’d go where you go.” Sirius hummed as Remus slid his fingers through his hair. “You?”
“Same,” Sirius burrowed into his nape, inhaling him. “Moony—
“Go to sleep.”
“Yeah. Ok” Sirius’ eyes slid shut, snaking his arms around Remus. Pressing their bodies as close as bodies would allow. Sinking beneath his skin. “G’night Moony.” Sirius waited. “Moony?”
“No Moony here I’m afraid.”
Sirius jerked, eyes exploding open.
A dank cell glistened, a stream of flickering light carving a long slice through the bars. Dust motes flurried a foetid odour insulting his senses. Sirius rolled, bare feet hitting cold stone.
“Who was that?”
His voice echoed.
A cracked mirror hung above the stained sink in the corner. Sirius padded warily towards it. His reflection stared back.
Gaunt.
Thin.
Hollow.
“He left you,” said the Other Sirius. The cruel one. The one with straggly hair and bones that protruded. “He lied.”
“No—
“They all left you.”
Sirius fell. Knees cracking. “No please—
“You’re all alone.”
