Whenever a piece is inserted or removed, you twist it to pull out more flesh

Taking metal pieces, heating them, and brandishing them into their skin whenever the piece dies

ripping out their person's teeth for each chess piece, shoving them back into their bleeding gums when the piece gets killed off
