But point out a group of well-dressed, good looking men ‘checking her out’ as she passed them on the street, and... Well, she yearned for monsters.
She very briefly looked back over her shoulder at them before quickly looking down again, her face turning a deep shade of red. “Oh, no, I’m sure they’re not - I’m sure it’s someone else. There’s a lot of people out walking. Or maybe I have something on my face. Mud - could be mud. There was mud on my boots earlier, and I was trying to clean them, and you know how it is, mud gets everywhere, and the more you try to get rid of it, the more it seems to spread, and...” She cut herself off in an effort to stop her rambling, taking a beat before lamely concluding, “So yes. Mud.”

“Do you need some help with that stuff?” Honestly it was a bit weird seeing someone struggle to carry something when one spent so much time around people who didn’t struggle at all to carry extremely heavy things be it on their own or with the help of a magic ring. Even Bruce had trained to the point where while he lacked super strength he was capable of a lot more than most people. Though he kinda had to if he wanted to pass gym class.
