AKA the One Where Bakugo and Kirishima’s Marriage Is A Secret and Bakugo Is Falsely Reported Dead. Chapter Summary:
Now - Kirishima makes a surprising decision about whether or not to reveal that he and Bakugo were married to the world.
Then - As graduation from UA approaches, Kirishima tries--and fails--to come out to his friends.
Currently working on: Chapter nine of Of Fading Light and Cooling Space! AKA, the one where Kirishima must deal with All For One running around in Bakugo’s body, all the while hiding the information that they were married. Chapter Summary: Now - If Kirishima can’t free Bakugo, he’ll honor his wish and mercy kill him. If he kills him, he intends to follow him. Then - It’s the worst day of Bakugo’s life, and Bakugo comes to reflect on how important to him Kirishima is.
The last time that Kirishima had gone to one of these crisis meetings, he’d been personally ushered inside. This time, he was stopped at the door.
“What are you doing, Kaminari?” he asked sharply, crossing his arms across his chest. His second defensive tell was to flick his tongue across his dry lips...down to the crusty, poorly-knitted tear in his lower lip. The bandage kept coming off in his sleep...it had been a miracle that he’d even been able to fall asleep in the first place. Everything, including this road block, felt like it was being viewed through a window dark with grit.
Kaminari shifted his weight nervously from one foot to the other, not looking him in the eye. “I dunno, man...should you really be here?”

The first chapter of Like Petals Pressed in Sheets, sequel to Of Fading Light and Cooling Space, has been posted! Summary: Defeating All For One might have actually been the easiest part of rescuing Bakugo when he was falsely reported dead.
Now, in the aftermath, he and Kirishima must cope with their secret marriage being revealed to the world. Bakugo struggles with adapting to life as an amputee and what that suggests for his career. Kirishima must come to terms with Bakugo's sometimes selfish handling of decisions that really belong to both of them. Meanwhile, both heroes are haunted by memories of the past--and the question of whether their relationship can really recover to where it was before.

Somewhat! I’ve been writing, and right now, it looks like I might post chapter one between the 21st and the 28th. I’ll be using the comments section to gauge whether readers want to read as I write or want to wait a little for more consistent weekly updates. So now’s a great time to re-read, get hyped, and to decide what you’re gonna put your vote in for, because I’M having trouble deciding that!The first sentence of chapter one remains my favorite: It was all over, and Kirishima Eijirou had never been so happy.

Chapter Summary: Now - The final battle for Bakugo begins, as Deku moves in to honor his wish for a mercy killing and Kirishima scrambles for allies.

“It’s stupid and I know that it’s stupid—” he muttered preemptively. “I’ve known, realistically, for a long time now...no matter how hard I work...or how good I get...I’ll never be the Number One Hero.”
